Dentures are worn throughout the day. The advantage of dentures is that you won’t need any surgical procedure unlike dental implants, so a better option if you prefer a less invasive procedure. It’s functional and comfortable as well. In the end, the decision is yours to make if you prefer a more comfortable option. However this depends on your dental condition, and your financial priorities. To help you with that here are some aids:

Replacing a teeth or two – When one or two teeth are missing, it is best if we replace it with a bridge particularly an implant bridget between the close of the teeth. But when a denture is required, a snap on denture or flexible denture is highly recommended. Flexible denture is comfortable as it adjusts to the contours of the gum. This prevents a gum bruises and the dentures lasts almost a lifetime. However, there are considerations to be made to where the denture has to be placed:

Most Comfortable Dentures

Molars – The molars, especially those located at the lower back of the teeth have greater chewing stress. In such a case, a flexible denture is not recommended. Bridge is the best choice for this situation.

Upper front and bottom teeth – Unlike the back of the teeth near the molars, the upper front and bottom teeth do not take as much of the load. In such a case, the looks are more important than strength. Partials with a properly matched colors will do great in this scenario and will be really comfortable.

One or two back molars – when you need to replace the wisdom tooth, don’t. This is because the normal functions of your teeth like chewing or making a smile won’t be affected at all. However, when two or more back molars are affected, it is best to support the implant with a denture. A partial denture is also recommended if you prefer comfort.

Replacing a large set of teeth – When you need to replace a large number of teeth, consider either an implant supported or partial supported denture.

Complete or full denture – When most of your teeth needs to be replaced, you’ll need a complete or full denture. A full denture is cheaper and more comfortable than an implant.
